Michael Moore v. Wolf Blitzer

10 07 2007

I used to think Michael Moore was a bit nuts. I don’t anymore, as he has been proved right time and again. I’m glad that he demanded CNN apologize for it’s poor reporting, both on the war and on the healthcare system. Thanks, Michael!

Iraq for Sale: The Crimes of the War Profiteers

21 03 2007

Auditors overseeing the Iraq Reconstruction funds recently reported to Congress that more than $10 Billion has been wasted in Iraq because of private contrator overcharging and unsupported expenses. This is, to my mind, a treasonous act. So far, these companies have only been fined. Before the Democratic take-over of Congress, of course, there was virtually NO oversight by Congress of the Iraq War, reconstruction, or of the Bush Administration. This, too, is criminal negligence to my mind.

A documentary film, “Iraq for Sale,” has been (legally) posted on Google Video, and it is below.

Here is the description from Googlevideo:

Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers is the story of what happens to everyday Americans when corporations go to war. Acclaimed director … all » Robert Greenwald (Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price, Outfoxed and Uncovered) takes you inside the lives of soldiers, truck drivers, widows and children who have been changed forever as a result of profiteering in the reconstruction of Iraq. Iraq for Sale uncovers the connections between private corporations making a killing in Iraq and the decision makers who allow them to do so. Brave New Films are both funded and distributed completely outside corporate America. Over 3000 people donated to make Iraq for Sale, and it is up to you to distribute it. Give copies to co-workers and organize a screening in your neighborhood. Get involved!!

CBC: The Lies That Led to War

20 03 2007

A Canadian Broadcasting Corporation “Fith Estate” documentary on how the Bush Administration manipulated the United States into the Iraq War. It is fascinating and enraging.  Please take the time to watch it.  This is just the sort of facts that we need to get out to everyone possible, so that they understand the depths that this administration went to to pursue a radical — and ultimately disasterous — policy in the Middle East.

Anti-Hillary “1984” Video!

First, this is Apple Computer’s famous “1984” commercial attacking then rival IBM:

Second, this is an unofficial Obama campaign video using the same tact in going against Hillary Clinton:

An interesting mash-up, no?
